Mindful Sleep Consulting

Practice Overview

Mindful Sleep Consulting was born from my own experience with severe sleep deprivation after the birth of my second son. At the time, I was getting only 1–3 hours of sleep each night while he was waking as many as 10 times a night. I eventually reached a point where I no longer felt safe driving with my children in the car, and I knew something had to change. That’s when I hired a pediatric sleep consultant. The support I received changed much more than our sleep—it changed how I felt as a mom and how I was able to show up for my family. After that experience, I knew I wanted to provide that same kind of support to other parents. Today, I work with families with children from newborn through age 5 who are struggling with frequent night wakings, short naps, bedtime battles, early mornings, schedule challenges, sleep transitions, or simply want to build healthy sleep habits from the beginning. My approach is individualized, supportive, and realistic. I consider each child’s temperament and developmental needs, along with the family’s parenting philosophy, goals, routines, and comfort level. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to sleep, and families deserve support that feels right for them. I offer both virtual consultations and in-home support, allowing families to choose the level of guidance that best fits their needs. Throughout the process, my goal is not simply to get a child sleeping better. It’s to help the entire family become more rested, confident, connected, and able to enjoy life together again.
Better sleep changes more than nights- it changes how you feel, how you parent, and how your family experiences life together.

Corporate Wellness

Hi, I’m Yasmin! I’m the owner of Mindful Sleep Consulting, a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, and a mom of two boys. I’m also a former pediatric dental hygienist and have been a flight attendant for nearly 20 years. My own experience with severe sleep deprivation is what ultimately led me to this work. I work with families with children from newborn through age 5 who are struggling with frequent night wakings, short naps, bedtime battles, early mornings, transitions, or simply figuring out an age-appropriate schedule. I offer both virtual consultations and in-home support. I’m especially passionate about the connection between sleep and mental health. When your child isn’t sleeping, chances are you aren’t either. And when you’re exhausted night after night, it can affect your mood, patience, relationships, work, and the way you show up as a parent. I’ve been that exhausted parent, so I understand how overwhelming it can feel. I don’t believe there’s one sleep method that works for every child or family. I want to understand your child, what’s happening in your home, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re comfortable with. Then we figure out a plan together. My goal is to help your child sleep better while helping you feel supported, confident, and more like yourself again. Mindful Sleep Consulting partners with employers to support working parents through one of the most exhausting seasons of their lives. Services can be offered virtually or on-site and customized to fit your organization. PARENTAL LEAVE & RETURN-TO-WORK BENEFIT Companies can offer one-on-one pediatric sleep consulting as part of their maternity, paternity, or parental leave benefits. Employees receive personalized support with their baby or young child’s sleep during leave or as they prepare to return to work. Employer-sponsored packages can include a private consultation, individualized sleep plan, and ongoing support. Programs can be structured as a benefit available to eligible employees or customized to complement an existing parental leave or family wellness program. WORKPLACE TALKS & WORKSHOPS I also offer educational talks, lunch-and-learns, and workshops for employees on topics including: • New Parent Sleep Support • Returning to Work After Baby • Baby & Toddler Sleep • Back-to-School Sleep • Sleep & Family Wellness Topics can be customized to your team, and sessions can include Q&A so parents have an opportunity to ask questions about the sleep challenges they’re currently experiencing. WHY SLEEP SUPPORT? Sleep deprivation doesn’t stay at home. It can affect a parent’s mental and emotional well-being, energy, focus, relationships, and ability to function at work. Supporting families with sleep gives employers a practical way to support employees during parental leave and through the transition back to work. My approach is practical, judgment-free, and realistic. Parents receive information and strategies they can actually use within the realities of work and family life.
