Parent Child Psychology

Practice Overview

In our meetings, we connect the inner and outer pieces of the psychic puzzle. My classes offer education and guidance that help parents understand their child’s developmental stage and feel more effective when facing moments of crisis. Together, we explore when a child is moving along developmentally and when something may be getting in the way. We address questions such as what is normal, how to recognize emotional signals, and how to communicate in an age-appropriate and emotionally meaningful way. I offer practical guidelines and rules of thumb that can help stabilize difficult situations and also clarify when further support or treatment may be needed. The overall goal is to help you feel more confident, better equipped, and proud of the thoughtful work you are already doing as a parent. If concerns about yourself or your child remain after our conversations, we can together develop a therapeutic plan tailored to your family’s unique needs- individual therapy or parenting counseling. Clinical and psychoeducational services are offered online on a private -pay basis.
Connecting the pieces of our inner puzzle! Taking care of our emotional “injuries” can be deeply empowering, helping us live happier, more meaningful, and productive lives. Working with a therapist offers insight into our personal burdens and supports the healing of emotional wounds. Much like assembling the pieces of a puzzle, this process helps create a clearer, more integrated picture of who we are.

Therapy via the Parent

Therapy through the parent focuses on helping parents understand their child's emotional and developmental needs, make sense of challenging behaviors, and respond in ways that support healthy growth. Rather than working with the child, the parent becomes the primary agent of change, receiving guidance, support, and practical tools to strengthen the parent-child relationship and promote emotional well-being.
