About Me
Samantha is a Psychotherapist, Speaker, Best Selling Author, and Host of The Be Ruthless Show, a podcast dedicated to Making Noise and Breaking Stigmas. Samantha’s mission is to change the way the world views both grief and mental illness, so people can get the help they deserve without fear of judgment, labels, and repercussions. Samantha is also the proud founder of Griefhab, rehab for grief, a nonprofit organization with an entirely new approach to grief and mental health support services. In her free time, you can find Sam and her pups on one of their outdoor adventures. They never miss an opportunity to explore their beautiful surroundings. Music fuels Sam’s soul, family means everything to her, and honoring her late husband, Jim, and making him proud gives her life daily purpose.

Background & qualifications
You're Not Alone. I've been there. I'm Samantha Ruth - but you can call me Sam. You're taking a huge step, and if we work together, my only goal is for you to trust me. I've been in the field 28 years, working with people in crisis: teens & families, couples, addiction, eating disorders, legal issues, grief, & trauma. I've lived with anxiety my entire life. I'm the child of a recovering alcoholic. 8+ years ago, I became a widow. I quickly learned my education & experience pale in comparison to real-life pain. Through my healing, I found methods I've added to my practice - because I believe healing happens YOUR way. I'm also proud to be one of the few who specializes in group therapy, including telehealth groups. Whether it's "Loss of a Spouse,” “Pet Loss,” or "Boosting Confidence," you'll connect with others who truly understand. Healing happens together— and no one should struggle alone.
