About Me
After spending spending over 15 years working in the horse industry and as a massage therapist, I went back to school to become a mental health counselor. I saw the mental health benefits of spending time with horses and had the goal of moving sessions out of the office and into the pasture. I also saw the need for mental health support for equestrians, particularly older adults balancing a life with horses and the natural changes of life. After trying different models of EFP, I trained with the HERD Institute and became a member of their faculty in 2024. I offer in-office, telehealth, and equine-facilitated sessions for mental health counseling. I also offer Mental Health for Equestrians workshops, equine-assisted learning activities, Mini Herd Meditations and mini-retreats at the farm. My specialties include life transitions, late diagnosed autism and ADHD, and substance use and harm reduction.
