About Me
Whitney is a licensed clinical social worker and clinical therapist who is passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and families feel supported, understood, and empowered. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University.Whitney has experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. Whitney is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based approaches into her work. She uses these approaches to help clients develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build confidence, and recognize their strengths.Whitney believes therapy should be a safe and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, sharing their experiences, and building trust at their own pace. When working with children and teens, she incorporates creative, engaging, and age-appropriate activities to make therapy approachable while helping clients develop practical skills they can use in their everyday lives. Whitney also believes that supporting the family is an important part of helping young people thrive. She works collaboratively with parents and caregivers. In her free time, Whitney enjoys spending time with family and friends, water skiing, and playing tennis.
